Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, about 4 oz.
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter, melted

For the Topping:

2 Tbsp melted butter
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dry parsley

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Stir in the cheddar cheese and set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk and melted butter together.
4. Add the buttermilk to the large bowl with the flour and mix until a dough has formed and the ingredients are no longer dry. Do not overmix.
5. Drop on pan
6. Bake for about 12 minutes, until they are golden brown.
7. When done brush the tops of the biscuits with topping
