1 1/2 lbs Beef chuck roast, sliced thin
1/2 Onion, sliced into 2 portions
1 cup Beef broth
1/2 cup Soy sauce
1 Tbsp Sesame oil
1/4 cup Brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp Garlic, minced
2 1/2 Tbsp Cornstarch3 cups Broccoli florets, diced
Sesame seeds, for garnish, optional
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
1. Add beef and onion to a slow cooker.
2. In mixing bowl whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and garlic. Pour mixture over beef and onions.
3. Cover with lid and cook on low heat 2 1/2-3 1/2 hours until meat is cooked through.
4. Take out 1/4 cup of the broth and put in a bowl. Add cornstarch and whisk until smooth.
5. Return broth mixture to slow cooker.
6. Add in the broccoli and cook on high heat for 20 minutes, until sauce is slightly thickened and broccoli is done.
7. Add salt and pepper as needed for taste.
8. Remove onion pieces, serve over rice.
